Our mission

A trusted home for Islamic education.

We help Muslim families find the right school, help teachers find meaningful work, and help schools tell their story โ€” honestly, thoroughly, and with the community's best interests at heart.

What we stand for

Three commitments that guide every decision

No paid placements in reviews. No opaque rankings. Just honest, verified information.

๐Ÿค

Trustworthy by design

Every review is verified by email โ€” and many by document upload. Schools can respond, but never delete, a review. Moderators are humans, not algorithms.

๐Ÿงญ

Community-first

We're built for parents, students, educators, and schools โ€” not investors. Revenue funds better tools for those four audiences; it never buys favorable placement.

๐ŸŒ

Global from day one

Launching in English, Arabic, and Urdu. Built with RTL support, multilingual content, and the diversity of the ummah at the core โ€” not as an afterthought.

Our story

Built by parents who couldn't find what they needed.

Islamic School Review started with a simple frustration: when a family moves to a new city, there's no easy way to find and compare Islamic schools. Websites are outdated. Reviews are scattered across Google, Facebook groups, and word-of-mouth. Schools can't easily reach the right families, and great teachers can't easily find the right roles.

We set out to fix that. One verified review, one updated school profile, one honest article at a time.

How we work

Editorial & review policy โ€” in plain English

Read the full policy โ†’

1 How reviews are verified

  • Every reviewer confirms their email before a review posts.
  • Parents can optionally upload proof of enrollment for a "Verified parent" badge.
  • Suspected fake or duplicate reviews are removed after human review.
  • Schools can flag a review; we investigate, but we never delete criticism just because it's unflattering.

2 What premium membership does not buy

  • A higher star rating โ€” ratings come only from parent reviews.
  • The ability to remove negative reviews.
  • Placement in editorial articles (those are marked as "Sponsored" when sponsored).
  • Any editorial influence โ€” reviews, rankings, and articles are independent of sales.

3 How sponsored content is labeled

  • All sponsored articles carry a clear "Sponsored" tag in the byline, category, and URL.
  • Sponsors don't get approval over editorial content โ€” only over their own sponsored pieces.
  • Featured school carousels are labeled as promotional placements, not rankings.

4 How we handle corrections

  • Schools can submit correction requests for factual errors on their profile.
  • Any substantive correction to an article is noted at the bottom of that article, with date.
  • Appeals for takedowns go to a three-person editorial board, not to sales.
